We are sorry to advise that the brown bin collection due to take place in Bridge of Weir, Langbank, Bishopton and Garnieland Erskine will not now take place until Saturday or Sunday. This is to allow us to catch up on collections missed over the last few days due to difficulties presented by the weather conditions.

We would ask residents to leave their bins out and we will get to them as soon as possible. There is no need for anyone to log a missed collection for today for this bin.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

A part time Post Office Counter Clerk is required for The Bridge, Bridge of Weir. Two three hour shifts each week. Previous Post Office or cash handling experience would be useful. Application in writing please with CV to Paul Birch, The Bridge, 63 Main Street, Bridge of Weir PA11 3NR.

A wee update from Kilmacolm Dramatic Society

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all doing well and have been staying healthy coming into 2021.

Usually at this time of the year we here at KDS are beginning rehearsals for our spring production to which many of you have attended and supported.

Your support is always greatly appreciated and it gives us a massive boost when we hear people say “I’m looking forward to your next show?” and “That show was fabulous.”
The atmosphere around the village leading up to the performances just goes to show how important community and local theatre is!

Sadly we weren’t able to take to the stage in 2020 and had to postpone both our productions and now with current restrictions it looks like our spring 2021 production will be postponed again.

However, fear not as we have embraced the digital age and a few of our fabulous actors have recorded some audio performances for you.

As of early Jan 2021, cycle repair services are classified essential services due to positive mental and physical benefits of cycling. We strictly follow government guidance in distancing, face coverings and disinfection or surfaces.
