Since the Government announced last year the need for 20,000 new houses per year, the developers have been inundating us with proposed sites for housing. As we went to print, I saw a post on Houston Community Council’s Facebook page advising that Gladman Developments has submitted a proposal for a residential development with associated infrastructure and landscaping on the site between Crosslee Poultry Farm and Crosslee Bridge, Barrochan Road, Houston. Further details can be found on the Renfrewshire Council website by clicking on Search for Planning Applications and Appeals and entering 18/0572/NO in the search box. It is not yet clear how many houses are intended for the site.
